The author was drawn into stage plays by his son, Brian, who was planning to produce a play incorporating his original music. Richard wrote the script for Mary Howling, Queen of the Crazy Ones and became one of the project’s executive producers. Mary Howling became part of the 2016 New Your Theater Festival.
